Master of Ceremonies: Kapalu Mutenda

Kapalu Mutenda is creative director of his own content management firm and a professional MC, but also had a short stint in stand-up comedy, where he twice opened for Trevor Noah. As an MC, Kapalu has worked at corporate and private events at some of Zambia’s biggest venues; Kapalu has emceed three TEDx Lusaka events. In addition to this speaking talent, Kapalu has a talent for writing, serving as editor of Nkwazi, the Proflight Zambia in-house magazine. He creates content for various clients in the business and financial sector, and currently serves as Insurance Ambassador for the Insurer’s Association of Zambia.

Speaker Announcement: Theresa Ng’ambi

Theresa Ng’ambi is a talented Zambian folk singer. While her peers were playing hip-hop and nu-soul, Theresa Ng’ambi explored a more traditional Zambian sound. Theresa is a storyteller and a poet. She draws on the traditional musical styles of her grandfather’s era and the thumb piano to make her childhood dream a reality. Her guitar supports the real instrument that is her melodic voice which transports and transfixes her audiences back to a time in Zambian history. Theresa’s music is cross generational and has a broad appeal; she is a tourist attraction and the real “soul” of Zambian folk. Her album titled “Mandu” was released in 2016.

Speaker Announcement: Henry Joe Sakala

Author of the award-winning book Unmasked: A Collection of Short Stories and Poems, Henry Joe Sakala fell in love with telling stories at a tender age of 12. He is well known for writing a number of award-winning plays such as The Last Steps, Living with the Enemy, Judas Affair, Town Boy and Surviving the Wilderness. Henry is also credited for creating, writing and starring in some of Zambia’s major feature films and TV drama series, notably serving as the head writer of Zambezi Magic TV drama series Mfuti, Mpali and Land Lady. He is also celebrated for writing many drama series and feature films on Muvi Television. Henry’s other work includes Silent Voice, Guns and Rings, Survivors, Brothers, Redemption, Rewind, When the Curtain Falls, Street Circles, Dancers and Reflection of Sadness. Speaker Announcement: Chilufya Musosha

Chilufya Musosha describes himself as a recovering geek with serious withdrawal issues and an adventurer still searching for the meaning of life. Chilufya is passionate about technology believe it’s the equalizer in an uneven  world. He advocates the use of technology to include all people from all walks of life, and pursues this goal strongly. “Africa can heal if technology and data become the core of our decision making.”  Chilufya has over 15 years’ industry experience and has gained several industry certifications, such as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Security Associate and GVF professional. With both local and international experience, he has worked in several African countries to setup ICT systems and provides advisory services. He has worked for over 12 years on large scale eHealth innovations in Zambia and the region and has a keen understanding of the opportunities and challenges that exist in Zambia.
